At this point I do not think one ought to not know the tragedy that has struck a few days ago to Haiti, where an earthquake 7.1 scale killed many thousands of people and let them not only homeless or without food (in the least dramatic of the cases) but without a present right.
So much data can be found in any owner of any newspaper or news of the world ... But the reality goes far beyond. The epicenter of this disaster is, without doubt, to the dignity of people who have suffered and are still alive. It is to them to turn on us now and we offer every assistance we can because now that the world trying to escape the worst economic crisis in recent decades is a small country, long forgotten by the hand of God and practically irrelevant to the international community, which is drowning in its own tears.
The tragedy of Haiti is not a number, not a statistic, is the drama of real people with real lives, who until recently attended school, worked in the market, fishing, laughing, doing sports and everything sounded. Now we are left with even that. His reality has changed to a rabidly NOW that is cured, food, shelter and dignity to bury their dead before they decompose and bring them terrible side effects. And NOW when should all turn on us to them and offer our help to the extent that each of us possible.
Food, clothes, money (either in the amount that is) ... all that to people who have lost EVERYTHING, and MAS (and looks it's hard to lose it all and more) is something that can make a first step towards TOMORROW, but let's face it: more than words more or less inspired need to eat, they need to rebuild a life in a biased unfair and cruel.
And above all that no country need to face each other to see who helps most and how. I think it would be a total obscenity that happen. Governments, in addition to raising taxes, are to ensure that every penny you send arrive intact at its destination, is not "lost" in a port or in a pocket outside. And also to demand that these thugs who run a number of banks that collect fees for sending that money is one of shame!
Movámonos towards a fairer, more caring, more real, think of heart
WHAT IF I WERE IN HAITI HAITI TODAY?
